SMS Opt-In Flows

Last Updated: June 27, 2026

This page documents, with screenshots, the two flows through which an end user provides express written consent to receive SMS from Exclu-Cycle: the rider login screen and the driver login screen. It is the public-facing companion to our SMS Terms & Conditions.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

(a) Rider Login Opt-In

Riders opt in by entering their phone number on the Exclu-Cycle iOS / Android app login screen. An SMS consent disclosure is rendered directly above the Continue button. The user’s tap on Continue is the affirmative act of consent and also triggers the first OTP SMS.

Step 1. User opens the Exclu-Cycle app and selects “I’m a Rider.”
Step 2. User enters their U.S. mobile number.
Step 3. User reads the SMS consent disclosure shown above the Continue button:
Step 4. User taps Continue. The app records the timestamp of the consent event alongside the phone number and immediately requests an OTP via SMS.

Users can review or revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any Exclu-Cycle SMS.

(b) Driver Login Opt-In

Drivers follow the same dedicated SMS-consent pattern, with disclosure language that explicitly enumerates dispatch alerts (since drivers receive new-ride-offer SMS in addition to OTP).

Step 1. Driver opens the Exclu-Cycle app and selects “I’m a Driver.”
Step 2. Driver enters their U.S. mobile number.
Step 3. Driver reads the SMS consent disclosure rendered above the Continue button:
Step 4. Driver taps Continue. Consent timestamp + phone number are persisted; OTP SMS is sent.

Audit & Recordkeeping

Both opt-in flows write a consent record (phone number, timestamp, and flow type — rider login or driver login). These records are retained for dispute resolution and regulatory audit.
